Sara Lima

Sara first started learning sound recording and sound post-production at the International School of Cinema and Television in Cuba.

After graduating from the Sound Department she decided to live in Zimbabwe, in the hope of developing a documentary about AIDS. A year later, Sara returned to her hometown of Florianópolis, Brazil, to work on documentaries and short films. In 2004, she was sponsored by the French Ministry for Foreign Affairs to study at the documentary summer school at La Fémis.

While Sara was working as a sound recordist/boom operator in Brazil, Cuba, Zimbabwe, France and Switzerland, she always felt that she needed something extra to help perfect her skills, confidence and professionalism in sound recording. Moving to England and studying at the NFTS was a challenge, but now means Sara can work at  a high industry standard, anywhere in the world.

Sara currently works in the UK as a sound recordist and boom operator.
